Testimonials

  • Norm Michaelsen

I have a very good friend for whom I was Power of Attorney, her name was Lois E. Martin. Lois was assessed and found to have the need of nursing home care. She was at Turnbull for only ten days, six in regular care and four in hospice care. She told me many times how fortunate she felt to be at Turnbull.

Lois was 93 and just three months shy of her 94th birthday when she entered this last phase of her life. During the four days of her hospice care, I witnessed such kind, considerate and loving care that it gave me peace, as it did her. I have nothing but positive things to say about Turnbull Home and staff.

The compassion and consideration shown to Lois and by the Director of Care, Nicki Goss, was just wonderful. When things had to be finalized, the meeting with the Administrator was just as thoughtful and considerate as all other aspects of the Turnbull experience. I would never hesitate to recommend Turnbull Nursing Home to anyone.

  • Margie & Aaron

We cannot say enough of how impressed we are with Turnbull Nursing Home. The care, kindness, and compassion shown to all residents are incredible. Our first experience with Turnbull was with Aaron’s mother, Albina, who resided there for about two years until her death in September 2016. She had mobility issues but cognitively was very bright. The staff treated her with so much dignity and respect; they truly treated her like a treasured family member.

Most recently, Marg’s mother has moved into the home as of January 2023. We were so pleased to see many staff members still working at the home from Albina’s time, some seven years later. A testimony in and of itself. Patricia has dementia and physical limitations. Once more we see the care, compassion, kindness, and attentiveness shown to Pat that we previously witnessed during Albina’s time.

Anyone who resides at Turnbull Nursing Home is truly a loved member of the Turnbull family.

  • Ken

Our experience with Turnbull has been positive from day one. The facilities are top notch, very clean and well maintained with lots of light. Staff go above and beyond to create a family atmosphere with excellent care.

  • Deborah

My mom is thriving at Turnbull. I haven't seen her this happy in a long time. She loves the staff and they love her right back.

  • Linda

Since my husband became a resident of the Turnball Home over 3 months ago, I have seen the amazing patience, respect and love shown to him and all residents by ALL the staff, from maintenance to nursing staff. The staff go above and beyond in their interaction with some very confused and agitated residents.

The admission of a loved one to a nursing home is very upsetting to the resident and the loved one who has cared for them for so long, and it is always difficult to make this transition. It is such a relief to know (by observing so many interactions) that I can leave a visit and feel at peace that he is in a place where he is shown the love and care that I always wished for him. From the moment I walked through the doors of the home I was made to feel an important part of the care plan and kept consulted about all of the care that is individualized for Bill. I have never visited where I wasn't greeted warmly by name and given an update. Having been a registered nurse, I know what good nursing care should be, and it's always about the staff giving the care that they would want themselves for their mom or dad.
